The Kirchspiel Riesling Grand Cru has a complex mineral structure and an aromatic spectrum that ranges from peaches and citrus fruits to apricots and mellow flint - typically associated with the Kirchspiel. This wine is from a vineyard classified as VDP Grosse Lage, the highest classification of quality for German vineyards. Located on the upper slopes of a south-easterly hillside, the vineyard is situated in the historical part of Westhofen, protected from cold winds by a chain of hills to the west and north. The terrain is composed predominantly of limestone, as well as weathered chalky clay, and the vines here are over 50 years old. The wine undergoes maturation in traditional wooden casks. It has an alcohol content of 12.5% vol. and a residual sugar level of 4.3 g/l, with an acidity level of 6.9 g/l. This wine is available in a 75cl size and is suitable for both men and women.
