The 2022 Deidesheimer Hohenmorgen Riesling Grand Cru is a dry wine with herbaceous, discreetly fruity and fine smoke aromas. On the palate, it has flavours of yellow fruit, with nuances of mango, pineapple and mirabelle plum. Initially, this wine has an animated sparkle, and then becomes juicy and complex. Its minerality is sparse, which gives the wine a fine mouthfeel. This wine is from the Hohenmorgen vineyard, considered the best in Deidesheim, located in the Pfalz region. The south-facing vineyard has loamy sandy soil with red sandstone and a subsoil with lime deposits. The grapes were carefully hand selected and gently pressed. Fermentation took place 50% in large wooden barrels and the remaining 50% in stainless steel tanks. The wine is suitable for both men and women to enjoy.
