This Cabernet Franc from Westcott Vineyards is full of rich dark fruit, with sweet scents of cherries and blueberries. It's lovely and fresh on the palate, with notes of back cherry, cocoa, and a touch of peppery spice. The finish is long and spicy, making it a great match for roasted lamb, mushroom risotto, or a T-bone steak. The vineyard, located on the Twenty Mile Bench in Ontario, has been farmed since 1834, and the small plot of Cabernet Franc is carefully tended by the proprietors, Carolyn Hurst and Grant Westcott, and their vineyard dog, Nelly.
