This Gruner Veltliner is a crisp and dry white wine with charming orchard fruits and citrus notes, characterised by white pepper. The palate has a creamy texture and a balanced acidity makes this a nice easy drinking wine. With 400 years of history behind Weingut Ecker-Eckhof, Bernhard Ecker is the latest member of the family to make wines here in Wagram, Austria. The estate itself is 20 hectares and split up into 30 of the best plots around Kirchberg am Wagram which allow Berhard to both blend across the region and produce single vineyard bottlings. His range has wonderful intensity, purity and finesse, always offering excellent value for such high-quality wines. The name 'Eckhof' derives from the location of the winery, which lies at a crossroads, and the family name 'Ecker'.
