Tulip turkestanica is one of the oldest species tulips in cultivation, classified in 1875: multi-headed, ivory-white with a gold centre and a light fragrance, on 20cm stems from March. Truly perennial in well-drained soil and one of our long-time favourites. Plant it with Crocus Tommasinianus for a naturalistic early-spring combination.
