The Fuchsia ‘Swingtime’ provides a new way of growing your fuchsias – ideal on the patio or on balconies! Due to its trailing habit, it is a perfect variety to show off in unique pots and looks beautiful with its large, double-frilled white skirts and contrasting red sepals. These fuchsias are easy to maintain and will be happy in the sun as well in semi-shade. Pot up fuchsias using well drained compost such as John Innes No.3, and grow on in warm, frost-free conditions. Pinch out the growing tips while fuchsia plants are still small to promote bushier growth and more flowers. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period, before planting them in their final positions in patio containers and sunny or semi shaded borders. Feed and water frequently throughout the summer to promote an endless supply of flowers. Deadhead faded fuchsia flowers to prolong the flowering period.
