Thompson & Morgan Thompson & Morgan Thunbergia Alata Golden Eyes 1 Packet

£2.99

Thunbergia alata 'Golden Eyes', also known as Black-eyed Susan, is a self-clinging summer climber that quickly covers trellises, fencing, or netting. It produces a mass of rich orange flowers with striking dark eyes, making it perfect for creating summer screening with big impact. This half-hardy annual is ideal for small trellises, containers, or conservatory growing. Its vigorous growth habit provides both decorative foliage and colourful summer flowers. Growing Instructions Sow seeds from February to April on the surface of good seed compost and cover lightly (6mm) with compost or vermiculite. Keep at 20–25°C in a propagator or sealed tray until germination (14–21 days), ensuring light is not excluded. When seedlings are large enough, transplant into 7. 5cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise plants before planting outdoors after all risk of frost, spacing 30cm apart. Grow in well-drained soil in full sun and train stems on suitable supports like obelisks or trellises. Feed occasionally and water regularly.
