Truly a perfect African lily for UK gardens. The flower of love’s core colour scheme works brilliantly together. The lush and distinct green foliage and stems combined with the standout blue florets with some of the darkest colours in the entire genus make a spectacular flower bed plant. However, while they look amazing in a flower bed, they are also just as at home. With stunning exotic looks, a good resilience to poor weather and soils along with being plain easy to grow and requiring very little aftercare, there aren’t many plants that can do it all like the agapanthus flower of love. It is recommended that African lilies be watered and fed regularly throughout the growing season. Faded agapanthus flower stems can be left if you wish to enjoy their architectural seed heads in autumn. Cut stems back to ground level when the first frost blackens the seed heads.
