Scilla siberica, Siberian Squill, produces intense, nodding deep blue bells from March on 10cm stems, one of the truest blues in the spring garden. It naturalises freely in semi-shade, spreading by seed and offsets over time. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Plant it with Muscari Armeniacum for a layered blue combination under early narcissi.
