A synergy between the effect of a tongue passage and the advantages of the Pelham bit. The profile of the beris KONNEX bit is more elongated. The bit sits very comfortably in the horse’s mouth, providing more space, while the arc widens considerably at the KONNEX bit. Suitable for horses with a narrow mouth, e.g., thoroughbreds or older horses (due to changes in dentition), horses with a large tongue, and especially horses that are sensitive to pinpoint pressure on the tongue. The "Pelham" is a classic bit which we've simplified and refined in design. The pressure from the reins affects the mouth, lower jaw, and neck. Depending on the lever length of the attachments (5 cm or 7 cm), the bit can quickly adopt a more or less pronounced angle in the mouth.
