Moss Wood Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River, 2019 Red Wine, 75cLBy Winebuyers

£79

Moss Wood, a beautiful area in Margaret River, is known for its coastline of beautiful beaches and fabulous surf. The karri, marri and blackbutt forest attracted those interested in the peace and calm of the land. It was also assessed as perfect for growing grapes for quality wine. Dr Bill Pannell was one of the first to buy and plant at the northern end of the area in 1969. The 1975 Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the first wines that had the wine trade sitting up and taking notice of this new area. The current owners, Keith and Clare Mugford, arrived as winemaker in 1979 and have produced a range of wines celebrated for their quality and consistency.
