1 x 75cl. The producer, Montevertine, has a long history of growing Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Colorino grapes. Their vineyards are planted at a density of 5000 vines per hectare for those planted since 1997 and 3200 vines per hectare for the previous ones. The vines are trained using the Guyot system in the older vineyards and with spurred cordon in the new plantings. Since the 2009 vintage, they have undertaken totally organic management of the vineyards, using compost produced on the farm for fertilization and copper and powdered sulphur for defence. The wine is produced from a blend of approximately 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo, and 5% Colorino grapes. It is a wine that fully reflects the identity of their land, and they excel at producing it.
