The Meyer-Näkel 2022 Sonnenberg Spätburgunder Grand Cru dry is a 75cl wine from the Winebuyers brand. The Sonnenberg vineyard, located in Bad Neuenahr, boasts steep slopes that face south, providing ideal conditions for Pinot Noir. With 95% of the vineyard situated on south-facing slopes, it benefits from high solar radiation and a favorable microclimate. The soil is a skelett-rich conglomerate of greywacke to greywacke slate mixed with loam proportions through hanging loam to loess and loess loam. This unique soil composition results in massive, voluminous wines that retain a fruity, elegant character. The wine is made from old vines, using sustainable work methods, consistent yield reduction, and careful hand-picking.
