Larsen Il Cannone violin strings are a celebration of legendary violinist Paganini. These strings have been developed for the highest level of playing providing a powerful and punchy tone with intricate harmonies and a lightning-fast response. Their quick response is great for staccato and spiccato playing truly living up to the legacy of Paganini. The Il Cannone strings are designed in a similar manner to Larsens original strings. The E string is made of pure carbon steel providing the brightness and projection necessary for the top string. The A D and G strings use Larsens unique synthetic multifilament core this is seen on other strings in Larsens ranges and the synthetic core provides stability durability and reliability while also having a similar sound quality to gut. The A string is wound with aluminium flat wire and the D and G strings are wound with pure silver providing the warmth required for lower strings. Two tensions are available. Medium tension provides an open and colourful sound which projects a powerful tone while the soloist tension has an even fuller tone with presence and focus. Soloist is also slightly heavier than the medium so is a bit more resistant to the bow than a lower tension would be.
