This wine makes me levitate. An elegant, lively Assyrtiko with notes of bergamot, orange zest and wet flint. On the palate there is lively, crisp acidity and salty minerality. Some subtle spice keeps everything feeling taut, but this is a powerful, rich, decadent wine. Delicious on its own, but a real beauty with shellfish. Ktima Apostolidi's story begins in 1958 when Efthymios Apostolidis planted the first vineyard in Dialekto Kavala, on the foothills of the Macedonian mountain basin, on the border with the river Nestos and Thrace. The winery is now run by the third generation of the Apostolidis family, Vasiliki and Efthymios, who have introduced new strict and qualitative goals with innovative methods in the vineyard and in the cellar.
