One of Britain's most distinctive native bulbs, Fritillaria meleagris produces pendant, chequered flowers in purple-pink and white in April. It thrives in damp meadow conditions and naturalises beautifully in grass. Plant it alongside Camassia Quamash for a wildflower meadow combination that increases year on year.
