Flint Vineyard's Silex Blanc 2023 is a white wine made from Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay grapes grown in the Waveney Valley, Norfolk. This complex wine has a texture and weight, with apricot and toasty, nutty flavours and a soft, elegant texture. It drinks well young and has good medium term ageing potential. Owner and winemaker, Ben Witchell, has a lifelong passion for wine, which started as a desire to learn more about the vinous world and quickly spiralled out of control, leading him to quit his job in IT. The wine is a nod to the plots of vines from which these Pinot dominant varieties were grown, and is named after the stoney ground upon which Flint Vineyard rests.
