Founded in 1946, the company has become a success story for the region, with holdings from Cote Rotie in the north through to Cotes-du Rhone in the south. Guigal sells over 4 million bottles a year. Etienne Guigal made his reputation initially with stunning wines from Cote Rotie – which not only made his name but also, in a way, that of the whole appellation. This success allowed them to expand throughout the Rhone, buying and reviving old domaines and vineyards. Well-positioned vineyards in Condrieu was one such purchase and Condrieu La Doriane is a stunning, richer version of the classic Condrieu style which possesses an incredible ability to age. La Doriane is Guigal’s luxury Condrieu cuvee and a stunning, richer version of the classic style with rich stone fruit intensity, round and bold texture, great finesse and minerality and an incredible ability to age. La Doriane comes from 35-year-old vines. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
