1 x 75cl. The Dr Hermann winery has a long history of winemaking, dating back centuries. The modern history of the estate began in 1967, when the current estate was formed in the town of Urzig. Today, the estate owns 9 hectares of vineyards in some of the best locations in Urzig and Erden, including the highly esteemed 'Erdener Pralat' vineyard, which is a 1.5-hectare site in Erden. The Erdener Pralat vineyard has an exceptionally warm microclimate, thanks to its location between the Rhone River and the rocky mountains. The vineyard is on a steep slope, facing directly south, and has a unique soil composition of blue Devon slate with red iron oxide. The vines are 60-100 years old and ungrafted. Wines from this vineyard are richly textured and opulent, yet with incredible aromatic finesse and precision. The Goldkapsel moniker is used to denote an exceptional wine, and this wine is a fine example of the estate's expertise. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
