Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, Rangen de Thann, Alsace, 2019 is a white wine from the renowned Domaine Zind-Humbrecht. Based in Turckheim and run by Olivier Humbrecht, a Master of Wine, and his wife Margaret, the estate is one of the finest in Alsace. The Humbrecht family's roots date back to 1620, and the domaine was founded in 1959. With 40 hectares across five villages in Grand Cru and single vineyard sites, Domaine Zind Humbrecht produces all four Alsatian noble grape varieties: Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer. Olivier initiated biodynamic practices in 1997 and was fully certified in 2002. The same year he became president of Biodyvin, the biodynamic association. The domaine's winery facilities and cellar were built in 1992, and all wines mature in large oval foudres with at least eight months on the lees, resulting in great concentration, complexity, and cleanness. This wine is a 5.5-hectare Rangen de Thann Grand Cru, available in a 75cl bottle. It is suitable for both men and women.
