This is a classic Alsace Riesling from one of the region's top producers. In a recent tasting, it shone above many comparable Rieslings that almost doubled the price of this. The wine is bright and expressive with lots of fresh citrus and floral aromas. It's rich and complex on the palate with lovely fleshy stone fruit, a touch of spice and a subtle saltiness. Great acidity balances the light sweetness perfectly. The winemaking history of the Rolly and Gassmann families in Alsace can be traced back to the 17th century, with Domaine Rolly Gassmann established in 1967 when the two families were joined by marriage. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
