Dom. Jean-Michel Gaunoux & Fils' Perrieres 1er Cru is a white wine from Meursault, France. The producer, Jean-Michel Gaunoux, set up his own domaine in Meursault in 1990, after having made wine with his father since the 1970s. His current land holdings include 6 hectares in Meursault, Pommard, and Volnay. In Meursault, Gaunoux has three premier cru sites, of which we currently list the Perrieres. Vineyards are cultivated with minimal use of synthetics and high attention to detail; winemaking generally has a traditional approach. The Perrieres premier cru is arguably the finest land in Meursault, with perfect east-southeast exposure, and is known for making the weightiest and longest lived of Meursaults. The wine is aged for up to 16 months, with up to 30% new oak used. This wine is suitable for both men and women.
