Diamantopetra Red is a combination of two charming, distinctive red grape varieties. The Cretan Mandilari offers strength, tannins and acidity, while the international and distinguished Syrah brings in richness and firmness of the wine. This ruby red wine with purple hues has a rich and complex aromatic profile, with ripe red fruits, cherry, plum, and blackberry dominating the nose. Violet and crushed black pepper seeds add depth, with noticeable, rounded tannins and charming acidity leaving a pleasant aftertaste. The Diamantakis family's love and passion for high-quality wine, their long tradition in viticulture, and 70 acres of private-owned land are the motivation behind this small winery. The grape varieties cultivated are Greek, local, and international, with 25 additional acres planted in terraces during the spring of 2010.
