A very pretty, velvety red wine. The wine jumps out of the glass with aromas of berries and chocolate. The palate is powerful and indulgent with lovely soft tannins and lots of fruit character lingering on the long, seductive finish. A perfect match for red meat, perhaps served with your Sunday beef. Château La Picherie is positioned on a great terroir on the argilo calcaire plateau of Montagne, just north of Saint-Emilion. The property is owned by Rodolphe Gimberteau, and the oenologue has been Thomas Duclos for many years.
