Chionodoxa forbesii, Glory of the Snow, produces clusters of five or more clear blue flowers with a white centre on 10cm stems from late February. One of the earliest true-blue bulbs and an excellent naturaliser in grass, under deciduous trees and in rockeries. Plant it with Crocus Tommasinianus for a blue-on-purple early combination.
The Chionodoxa Forbesii Bulbs are an excellent addition to a natural, plant-focused garden as they blend well with other lush green plants and add a touch of understated elegance.
