Chateau Grand Puy Ducasse Vintage 1975 is a red wine from France. Originally a single estate, a portion was sold to the Ducasse family in 1750. The 1975 vintage produced very tannic wines, but the few we have tasted have been a pleasant surprise. Typical blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The wine has a medium deep brick red color, with aromas of ground coffee, pencil shavings, chocolate fudge, and horse stable. It has a medium body, lively mellowed tannins, and a palate of cassis, strawberry preserve, prune, cardamon, and a hint of marzipan. A fully mature, rather elegant and easy to like wine with fading yet sweet fruit, medium acidity, and a nutty finish.
This Chateau Grand Puy Ducasse 1975 Red Wine is ideal for those who appreciate and enjoy exceptional French Red Wines.
