Castello dei Rampolla d'Alceo Toscana IGT 2016 Red Wine 75cLBy Winebuyers

£139

1 x 75cl. The modern history of Castello dei Rampolla starts in 1965 with Alceo di Napoli, who was inspired by the success of Sassicaia to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in the family's vineyards. The estate dates back even longer, owned by the di Napoli family since the 16th century. The first vintage was launched in 1980, with Alceo hiring Giacomo Tachis to guide the family's winemaking. Current owner, Luca di Napoli, converted the 30 hectares of vineyards to biodynamics in the mid 1990s. Vigna d'Alceo is a Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, made from the higher elevation vineyards. Vinification takes place in concrete tanks for 3 days. These are Super Tuscans of great concentration and fragrance, with tiny production of around 8,000 to 25,000 bottles per year. We currently list the Sammarco and d'Alceo cuvees. This wine is suitable for both men and women.

Castello dei Rampolla d'Alceo Toscana IGT 2016 Red Wine 75cL would be a great fit in wine tasting events or dinner parties that require a high-quality red wine.
