Cantina Fratelli Pardi's story begins in 1919 when three brothers, Alfredo, Francesco, and Alberto, established the winery. Initially located in the San Marco Hospital, the winery was situated in the stately building of Saint Francis in Montefalco. The family used their own grapes and some were bought from local landowners. Both white and red wines were produced, but Sagrantino, an exclusively Passito wine, was the main focus. The wines were sold throughout Umbria and even to the Vatican. In 2002, the great-grandsons of the founders, Francesco, Gianluca Rio, and Alberto Mario, restored the building in Montefalco and revived the winery. Today, the brothers Alberto Mario and Gianluca Rio continue the family tradition with enthusiasm and dedication. This Sagrantino Montefalco DOCG 2017 is a 75cl red wine from the United Kingdom.
