The Bratanov Family Winery 'Quel Mariage' 2018 is a unique coupage of Merlot and Syrah varieties, showcasing the best of South Sakar mountain's terroir. This rich and juicy wine has intense aromas of plums, cherries, and tobacco, with a surprisingly elegant palate. The fruits have become darker with age, developing secondary flavours of leather, liquorice, and cassis. The tannins are present but have mellowed nicely, resulting in a long, unctuous, and seductive finish. The Bratanov family winery is a result of the dedication of a father and his sons, who restored the family wine tradition after a 50-year break. Their vineyards are located on the sunny hills of South Sakar near the village of Shishmanovo, in the highly regarded Harmanli region of Bulgaria.
