This Bodegas Manzanos '1890 Finca Manzanos' Tempranillo 2023 is a juicy, fruity, modern young Rioja. It has lovely ripe black and red fruit aromas that combine with liquorice, chocolate and delicate spice. The palate is nicely rounded with lots of juiciness and soft, sexy tannins. It's a perfect accompaniment to midweek pasta dishes. Bodegas Manzanos is a family-owned winery that carries on the work of four generations. They have over 250ha of owned vineyards, including some of the oldest vines in Rioja. This wine is a modern take on the traditional landscape of Rioja, championing the native grape varieties, Tempranillo, Viura and Garnacha.
