* A Battery Backup Unit (BBU) provides power to your hub if there s a power cut * This is so you can still make emergency calls from your Digital Voice phone or existing corded handset * * The new BBU features hibernation mode, a feature that automatically puts the unit into standby mode as soon as only 25% of battery life remains * The hub and master socket (referred to as the Full Fibre Connection Box/ ONT/Modem in the set up instructions) can then be easily powered up, on demand for emergency calls * Hibernation mode enables you to reserve power, so you can stay connected when you need it most * * Please make sure you keep your battery back-up unit connected to the mains power supply and your Hub powered up * This will make sure it has enough charge if it's needed * We recommend that you limit broadband and call usage during power outages to preserve power so that you are able to make an emergency call if needed * * Hub compatibiliy: BT/EE Smart Hub 2, EE Smart Hub Plus, EE Smart Hub Pro * * Please note you must add the correct cable for your hub for it to work
