Bassermann-Jordan 2015 Kalkofen Riesling Grand Cru dry is a 75cl wine. The 'Kalkofen' vineyard, located on the western edge of Deidesheim, offers a lot of minerality to the vines due to its high limestone content. The exposition of the vineyard is east-south-east, guaranteeing direct sun influence from early morning to late afternoon. This Riesling has a powerful taste with fresh acidity, salty and chalky notes, and a long finish. The nose is fresh with nuts, citrus flavors, herbs, and fruits like peach and apple. It pairs well with all types of sea fish, seafood, and vegetables.
