The 2018 Mosconi has an alluringly mature, delicate orangey brick colour. The nose is an attractive, aromatic bouquet of frosted rosehips, strawberries and cream, violin rosin, burnt amber, and spicy frankincense. On the palate, it's soft, succulent and absolutely ready, with lovely, lithe elegance and irresistibly silken texture. It could keep a few years, but it's so utterly delicious now, why wait? The Mosconi cru is located at 370 metres elevation in Monteforte d’Alba, and typically gives wine with powerful tannins, however, in this 2018, they have attained a wonderful mellowness. Drink 2024-2030.
